    The conference fee includes:
    • Access to the WI 217 including all lectures, the business track, and the keynotes
    • Digital conference documents of all lectures and workshop findings, as long as they are released by the speakers
    • Catering (lunch, coffee breaks) during the conference
    • Small catering at the “Welcome Reception“ on Sunday, 12 February 2017
    • Attendance at the student pub crawl, respectively, on Monday, 13 February 2017 (Students and Doctoral Candidates)
    • Attendance at the conference dinner on Tuesday, 14 February 2017 (tickets for accompanying persons can be booked additionally)
    • Free public transport within the city of St.Gallen (Zone 210) from Sunday, 12 February 2017, 12:00 noon, to Wednesday, 15 February 2017, midnight.

    • Further Regulations:
    • Employed persons, who are neither researcher, nor research assistant, nor doctoral candidates, nor students, have to register for the category “regular“.
    • Researchers, research assistants, doctoral candidates, and practitioners, who are enrolled as students at a university, are not allowed to register for the category “students“. A copy of the student’s identity card will be requested for the registration as “student“.
    • Participating at the supporting program might cause additional costs. These are listed at the respective offers.

  3. Registration and Billing
    • The Institute for Information Management of the University of St.Gallen, Unterer Graben 21, CH-9000 St.Gallen, is contractual partner.
    • After receiving the registration, a registration confirmation and bill will be issued.
    • Payment is only possible via credit card, both before the conference and on the day. Visa und Master Card are accepted.

  4. Cancellation Terms
    • Cancellations or changes have to be made in written form via fax to +41 71 224 27 77 or email to support@wi2017.ch
    • In case of cancellation
      • The full participation fee - minus an administrative charge of CHF 50.00 – will be refunded until 8 weeks before the event (meaning until 19 December 2016) via the credit card that made the payment.
      • Starting 8 weeks before the event (meaning from 20 December 2016), a cancellation charge of 20 % (minimum CHF 50.00) will be retained from the refund amount. The rest will be refunded via the credit card that made the payment.
      • Starting 4 weeks before the event (meaning from 16 January 2017), a cancellation charge of 50 % will be retained from the refund amount. The rest will be refunded via the credit card that made the payment.
      • Cancellations after 01 February 2017 will not receive refunding.
    • Naming a compensatory participant is possible at all times and does not include any costs.

  5. Disclaimer of Liability
  6. The University of St.Gallen and their legal representatives are only liable, also in extra-contractual cases, for deliberate action and gross negligence. Unaffected by this is the liability for damage of life, body, or health or of substantial contractual obligations. Liability for things brought in is not assumed. The University of St.Gallen assumes no liability for the topicality, correctness, completeness, or quality of the provided information. The University of St.Gallen expressly reserves the right to change this information at any time and without prior notice. Liability claims against the University of St.Gallen because of tangible or intangible damage arising from accessing or using or not using the published information, through misuse of the connection, or as a result of technical breakdowns are excluded, insofar as this is permissible by law. The University of St.Gallen has not screened websites that are not on its servers or are not within its sphere of influence and which may be linked to this website by hyperlinks, and accepts no responsibility for their contents, for the products and services offered on the websites, or for other offers. In case that individual provisions or phrases of this disclaimer are or become invalid, the validity of the contents and the validity of the remaining provisions shall unaffectedly stay in force.

  7. Cancellation and Changes of the Event
    • The University of St.Gallen retains the right to appoint an alternative speaker in case of the inability to attend of the announced speaker.
    • In exceptional cases, the conference can be cancelled even after the registration has been confirmed, two weeks before the start of the conference at the latest (e.g., due to a too low number of participants or force majeure).
    • In case of cancellation, paid conference fees will be refunded.
    • Liability for the refunding of hotel and/or travel costs, works losses, or other damages suffered by the customer shall be excluded.

  8. Registration
  9. A badge, which will be handed over at check-in, will serve as identification for the conference participation. During the conference, this badge has to be visibly carried along at all times.

  10. Place of Jurisdiction
  11. St.Gallen is place of jurisdiction. Swiss law applies.
